Hot Rolled Steel Plates

Plates are produced by mill process (By heating the Slabs at a high temperature typically at a temperature over 1700 o F ) which is above steel’s recrystallization temperature. When steel is above recrystallization temperature it can be shaped and formed easily and plates can be made in larger size

Note on Impact Test Conditions
  • A – There is no impact test
  • BR – Impact Test Required, Has to be mutually agreed @room temperature
  • B0 – Impact Test Mandatory @ Zero deg C
  • C – Impact Test Mandatory @ -20 deg C
